Carolyn A. Minty

PETERSHAM- Carolyn A. (Meuse) Minty, 74, of Tom Swamp Road, died on Tuesday afternoon, May 23, 2017 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.
Born inSouth Athol on February 1, 1943, she was a daughter of Robert and Thelma (Sawin) Meuse and grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.
On September 12, 1964, Carolyn married Robert R. ‘Bob” Minty and they had enjoyed 44 years of marriage until his death on July 14, 2008.
Employed by the L. S. Starrett Company in Athol for several years, Carolyn became a full time mother, raising five children.
In her younger years, Carolyn had enjoyed hunting with Bob and always loved tending her gardens. Most important to Carolyn was her family and she cherished her time with all of them.
Survivors include her loving children, Astro Minty and his wife, Nicole, of Petersham, Starr Lamson andher husband, Frank, of Athol, Angel Fink McMickle and her husband, Roy, of Amherst, Robin Burke of Athol, and Titan Minty of Petersham; grandchildren, Isaac, Darien, Colleen, Jasmine, Mollie, Axl, Logan, Summer, Fox, Aurora, and Luna; a brother, Bill Meuse, of Petersham; and a sister, Gloria Stoddard and her husband, Ralph, of South Athol.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
There are no formal services and interment will be private.
