ATHOL- Joseph L. Bellio, 77, of Conant Road, died unexpectedly in his sleep at home on Monday morning, March 4, 2024.
Born in Leominster, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Gladys L. (Lafrance) Bellio and grew up in Leominster.
Joseph had worked for GAAMHA- Coleman Street Extension for many years, as well as for Franklin Pierce University.
Joseph enjoyed being with people as well as walking and bowling.
Joseph is survived by his sisters, Frances Gaumond and Roseann Bellio, both of Osterville, and Maria Vitello and her husband, David, of Athol; niece, Melissa Fitzgerald; nephews, Anthony Vitello and Christopher Vitello; and grandnephews and grandnieces, David E. Vitello, Matthew Vitello, Colin Fitzgerald, Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, Zane Vitello, and Lucia Vitello.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by a brother, Sebastian Bellio, and a nephew, Stephen Gaumond.
There are no calling hours.
Interment in St. Leo Cemetery, Leominster, will be private.
