Dana A. Testa
ERVING - Dana Anthony Testa, 69, passed away unexpectedly on June 4th, while at his home. Dana retired from the L.S. Starret Company in 2014 after 45 years of service.
Dana, predeceased by his beloved parents, Anthony "Gene" and Medora (Jolin) Testa, was born in Hartford, CT on August 6, 1948. He graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School in Orange on June 2, 1967.
Dana loved his family, friends and coworkers deeply. He had a passion for athletics, participating in sports such as softball, street hockey, ice hockey and tennis. He loved fishing with friends at the Quabbin Reservoir, camping, motorcycles, sports including golf, and in his retirement, visiting with family and friends and road trips.
He is survived by two daughters, Christine Rogers of Las Vegas, NV and Tracy Shemchuk of Keene, NH; a sister, Sharlene Stamper of Danielson, CT. He also leaves behind four grandchildren Calvin Shemchuk, Shelby Rogers, Lydia Shemchuk and Brooklyn Thessen; 2 nephews and a niece, 2 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
A Celebration of Life with dinner will be held on Friday July 6th from 6-8 p.m. at the Orange American Legion, 40 Daniel Shays Highway, Orange, MA.
