David C. Burnham Jr.

ORANGE- David C. Burnham Jr., 48, of East River Street, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 31, 2017 after being stricken ill.

Born in Athol on October 8, 1968, he was a son of David C. Sr. and Gloria (Tatro) Burnham and grew up in Orange and attended Ralph C. Mahar Regional School.

David had worked for the former Baker School Supply in Orange and then went to work for Panel Pro as a contractor.

In 1991, David married Melanie (Perkins).

An avid fisherman, David also enjoyed hunting and was enthusiastic about sports, especially the New England Patriots and anything to do with baseball. David also enjoyed animals.

David’s greatest love was his children and grandchildren whom he adored. He was a great all around guy with numerous friends.

For several years, David had coached Little League.

Survivors include his children, Joslynn Burnham and David M. Burnham, both of Athol; his grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia and Ava; his mother, Gloria King of Orange; a sister, Kim Guerra and her husband, Miguel, of Orange; many aunts and uncles including Merton Tatro, Michael Flagg and Paul Vescovi Jr. who he was very close with.  David also leaves a niece, Cydnie Guerra; nephews, Miguel Guerra and Nic Guerra; and a number of cousins.

David was predeceased by his father, David Sr.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held on September 17 , 2017 from 1-5 p.m. at the Franco-American Club, 592 South Street, Athol.
