CLINTON- Doris A. (Kolasinski) Prim, 87, formerly of Athol-Orange died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Clinton.

Doris was born in Leverett on September 17, 1930, daughter of David  (Thadeus) and Victoria Kolasanski and one of ten children. She grew up in Leverett and Shutesbury on the family ranch and raised her 7 children there..

She attended Leverett and Shutesbury elementary and graduated from Amherst High School.

Doris worked at Erving Paper Mill for 31 years then at MBW, Inc., retiring in 2000.

She was known to her family as Dodo or Ducky. Doris enjoyed playing solitaire on her tablet, yard sales, watching TV game shows, and card games, especially winning them. She was great at knitting and puzzles but her true love was spending time with her family.

She leaves her children, Bonnie Isrow (Dennis), David Prim (Debra), Cheryl Townsend (Scott), Sheila Kovalsick (Juan) and Dona Baldic (Joey); 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren, all whom she loved and adored very much; brothers, Robert Kolasinski (Linda) and James Kolasinski (Linda); and several nephews and nieces; brother in law Phillip Kinder; and sister in law Sandra Kolasinski.

Doris was predeceased by her parents David (Thadeus) and Victoria Kolasinski, a son, James Prim, a daughter Linda Quigley, and her siblings Sophie Kinder, Lois Lambert, Veronica(Pika) Lessard, Frank Kolasinski, twin Dorothy(Chubby) Kimball, Marion (Tiny) Taylor, and David (Hunky) Kolasinski, and her long time companion, William Shufelt.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at South Cemetery, Orange.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 W. Central St, Natick, MA 01760.
