Douglas A. Duarte

ORANGE- Douglas A. Duarte, 63, of Putnam Street, died on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare Campus in Worcester.

Born on April 8, 1955 in Medford, he was a son of the late William and Catherine (Mullane) Duarte and grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Maynard High School in 1973.

In 1974, Douglas married Judith (Brier) and have enjoyed 44 years together.

Doug had worked for Boyd Coatings before retiring.

An avid car enthusiast, Doug loved working on them, going to car shows and building car models. He also enjoyed woodworking, but most of all, time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judith “Judy” Duarte of Orange; sons, D.J Duarte of Winchendon, Dennis Duarte and Ryan Duarte, both of Orange; a granddaughter, Lexi Mason of Keene, NH; a brother, Richard Duarte of Weymouth; several nephews and nieces; as well as extended family and friends.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Orange American Legion, 40 Daniel Shays Highway (exit 16 off route 2), Orange.
