Edith Louise Shepardson

ORANGE- Edith Louise (Cleveland) (Lynch) Shepardson, 90, of East River Street, King James Court, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.
Born in Leominster on October 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Sr. and Katherine (Buckman) Cleveland and had lived in Worcester until moving to Orange in 1936.
Louise, as everyone affectionately called her, was married to James Vernon Lynch, who died in 1973, and then Lewis Shepardson, who predeceased her.
Employed by Georgia Pacific in Brattleboro, Vermont for several years as an assistant production control manager, Louise had previously worked for Erving Paper Mills for 32 years before they sold this division to Georgia Pacific. She retired in 1988.
Louise enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing bridge, making handicrafts, crocheting and traveling. She also loved dogs and cats.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Bradshaw, and her husband, Nelson, of Orange; grandsons, Michael V. Payne and his wife Maureen of California and Kenneth V. Payne and his fiancé Angela Stone of Arizona; granddaughters, Cari Rich and her husband Kent Rich of North Orange and Nicole Leadbetter and her husband Chad of Athol;

a brother, Kenneth Cleveland, of Indiana and three sisters, Avis Macher of Georgia,  Bernice Willis of Texas , and Myrtle Murphy of Connecticut.

Louise also has several great grandchildren:  Kalli and Emily Payne, Nelson and Abby Leadbetter, Owen and Megan Rich, David Mistretta, Jarrid Tweedley and Natasha Ledoux.
Besides her parents, Louise was predeceased by a son, Vernon Lynch, in 1973; brothers, George Cleveland, Arthur Cleveland Jr., as well as sisters, Mildred Spry, Margaret Driscoll and Dorothy King.

There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on September 29, 2017 at 2 p.m., in South Cemetery, 585 South Main Street, Orange, with Rev. Victor Miller of the Erving Congregational Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Athol Animal Shelter, c/o Athol Police, 290 Exchange Street, Athol, MA 01331.
