Edward H. Brown
FLORIDA- Eddie was born August 31, 1937 in Gardner, MA to Arthur Henry Brown and Ina Viola (Richards) Brown, died May 10, 2018. He lived in Athol until he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served as a jet engine mechanic while stationed in Lake Charles, LA. After his enlistment was complete, he moved to Ormond Beach, FL where his mother had moved.
He started work at Steak ‘n Shake in Daytona Beach where he met the love of his life Patti Lynn Hutchinson. They were married May 29, 1959 in Ormond Beach, FL and lived in various places around the southeast including Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, GA before settling in Jacksonville, FL where he resided from 1967 until his passing 05/10/2018.
Over the years he has been a truck driver, diesel mechanic, shop foreman, and volunteer fireman. The job he enjoyed most was truck driver which he did until he was 78.
Before his health made travel too difficult, he made annual trips to Athol for several years. He looked forward to breakfast at Nick’s Café and Johnson’s Farm with each visit. He was always dressed and ready to go before the sun came up.
He joins his brothers, Bobby and Jerry, and their sister Ruth in heaven with their mother Ina. He will be deeply missed by his wife Patti, sons Dennis (Cyndi) and Scott (Sherri), daughter Jill (Sting), granddaughter Caitlyn, great granddaughter Nevaeh, grandson Robbie, and granddaughters Stephanie and Carrie all of Jacksonville, FL.
