ORANGE- Elizabeth A. (Weeks) Lutz, 65, of East River Street, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 after being stricken ill.

Born in Ware on December 8, 1951, she was a daughter of Winifred (Weeks)

Elizabeth grew up in Barre, graduating from Quabbin Regional High School.

Her first husband was Richard Matthews Sr. and her second husband was Michael Lutz.

A nurse’s aide, Elizabeth had worked at the Country Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Newburyport for a number of years.

Elizabeth enjoyed time with her family, especially doing arts and crafts with the grandchildren. She also loved her game shows, was a terrific cook and devoted to her two cats.

Survivors include her children, Nicole Matthews of Raymond, NH, and Richard Matthews Jr. of Boscawen, NH; grandchildren, Dylan Walsh, Jacob Dimare, Kitania Matthews, Jessica Matthews, Dakota Matthews, Seth Matthews, Velia Matthews, and Tyler Matthews; two great grandchildren; siblings, Oscar Doane, Thomas Doane, Nancy Doane, John Doane and William  “Boone” Doane.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Athol Animal Shelter, c/o Athol Police, 280 Exchange Street, Athol, MA 01331.
