Ernest E. Lively Jr.
ERVING- Ernest E. Lively Jr., 76, of High Street, died June 30, 2018 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.
Born in North Adams on November 15, 1941, he was a son of the late Ernest E. Sr. and Irene (Lanoue) Lively and grew up in Conway, graduating from Frontier Regional School in 1960.
In 1981, he married Lois A. (MacDonald) and have enjoyed 37 years together.
Ernest was a truck driver most of his career, working for Contrans and NFI. He also was a bus driver for F. M. Kuzmeskus, Inc. in Gill.
Ernest enjoyed driving his dog around on his golf cart and had also been a member of the Orange Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Lively of Erving; sons, Travis Lively (Jyl) of Marietta, CA, Deven Lively of Glasgow, VA, and Jamie Lively of Hammond, LA; grandchildren, Charley, Marcus, Nessy, Jonas, Murphy, Seth, and Alaina; sisters, Bonnie Phillips of Colrain and Rose Ann Emond and Mary Lively Johnson, both of Turners Falls; a brother, John Lively of Turners Falls; many nephews and nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces.
Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Lively, and sisters Irene Machaud and Bethany Eldridge.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held on July 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Erving Congregational Church, 4 East Main Street (Route 2), Erving, with Rev. Victor Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in the Erving Center Cemetery.
