Frank Soos

WENDELL- Frank Soos, 59, of Lockes Village Road, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Born in Greenfield on November 20, 1957, he was a son of Ferenc and Emelia (Winkler) Soos and grew up in Greenfield and graduated from Franklin County Technical School in 1977.

Frank married Louanne (Paddock) on August 6, 1988 and just celebrated 29 years together.

Employed by the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Frank was a Safety Officer and had worked there 22 years. He previously had worked for Rose Ledge, D&D Motors and the former Sweeney Ford.

Frank enjoyed his time with his family, especially while camping and four wheeling. He also had enjoyed hunting and was a well known drummer for many bands.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Louanne Soos of Wendell; sons, Tanner Soos of Wendell and Cody Soos of Orange; his parents, Ferenc and Emelia Soos of Shelburne; a sister, Erika Crocker of Colorado; his in-law’s, Claire and James Paddock of Wendell; and extended family members.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 24th at the Soos home, 250 Lockes Village Road, Wendell.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Joslin Diabetes Foundation, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215 or to donor’s choice.

Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
