Moms are so important, I am sorry for the loss of such a valuable person in your lives. "You never really get over it, you just get through it. You don’t get by it, because you can’t get around it. It doesn’t ‘get better’; it just gets different." - Her four incredible kids are proof that she was special! Our thoughts are with you all.

Dearest Morris Friends

Janina embodied the greatest love for her family, as witnessed by me in my times in Orange, as a community member and - at one time - a close neighbor. I will always cherish the memory of her smile, her ever present pride in her family. I do believe she also frequented the "Snowy Snow-Cone" enterprise ( as well as all other Schatz Morris business endeavors).
Oh sweet thoughts flood my heart of the mutual memories of our daughters' ( and sons) experiences in the neighborhood. That precious moment in time, that sectioned off a compartment that was ours , was - no doubt for others warm and lovely -yet, somehow, it was our shared maternal and joyful experience. In that perspective, Janina and I have something very exclusively ours.

I will miss her ;however, I will cling to and celebrate those days of PIGS, thumbprint cookies, and trips to Carroll's market ( or the stories brought home to us from our daughters' excursions to "Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Crisp").

Godspeed to you Joe, Joey, Stephanie, Margaret ( you will always be "Peggah" to me) and Thumper. I will also think of her and smile.

Warmly,
Brenda Hall Schatz
