So Long John.
Though I had not seen you in over 50 years My brother Jim and I still remember the poker games back in the mid 1950s when a bunch of us would gather at your house and play poker for cigarettes. By the time the game was over half the tobacco was gone from the cigarettes but we had fun.

John was my father and I was his youngest son,Jason Platek, 36 years of age.I loved my father and was always proud to tell people that he was my dad. Most of my memories are that of a small boy going fishing and having my dad teach me how to shoot guns and how to servive out in the woods so if I were ever lost I could make it threw and find my way home to him.
I know my dad is in a peacfull place now. I was able to speak to my father last year and let him know that I love him that he was a good father.
I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU DAD AND I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER,WHEN MY TIME COMES I HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN,
LOVE YOUR SON JASON.

BIG JOHN-he was my father,not only to me but my sister lisa platek and both my brothers jOHN m platek jr. and jason platek. He married gloria j platek in 1968,they were married for 19 years.My father injoyed fishing with us kids and was a member of NRA,and as kids we learned about firearms.He taught us to shootand the safty of guns.We lived in heath mass and injoyed living oldschool woodstove heat and farming.We raised pigs and cows,chickens and grew our own garden to harvest for winter.My father taught me alot about living as a child and i have taught my kids alot about living.My father was a well known man in franklin county, many people knew my father from his work painting america,but well known as big john in bars of franklin county.Not once have i ever seen my father back down to anyone not even police.I will keep painting america as my father has done being i am a painter to.John M Platek also had 4 grandchildren on the platek side,cassey platek of turners falls,Chandler platek 10, Logan platek 7 and Jenna platek 3 of heath mass.He is gone now and the pain is no more although he lived his last years with another family,I know he loved all his kids and grandchildren.We will miss him dearly but he will not be forgotten by all that loved him.I will carry the platek name with pride honner and respect so will my children.
