Kenneth E. Prue Jr.
ORANGE- Kenneth E. “Ken” Prue Jr., 86, of Creamery Hill Road, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 13, 2018 with loved ones around him.
Born in Orange on March 20, 1932, he was a son of Kenneth E. Sr. and Viola (Brown) Prue .
In 1951, Ken married Lunette (Stewart) and have enjoyed 67 years together.
Ken had owned and operated Prue Logging and Lumber for many years before retiring.
A devout snowmobile enthusiast he served on the Massachusetts Snowmobile Association and was a member of the Mount Grace Sno-Snoopers since 1972 and Snowmobile Family since 1996. Ken also enjoyed woodworking, but most of all time with the grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lunette Prue of North Orange; children, Sharon Prue of Orange, Cheryl Hoffman and her husband, Steve, of Pelham, NH, Kenneth “Eddie” Prue III and his wife, Robbie, of Orange, Karen Kapise and her husband, Henry, of Athol, Timothy Prue and his wife, Paula, Scott Prue and his wife, Terry, all of Athol, Kevin Prue and his wife, Brenda, of Athol, and Kimberly Pratt and her husband, Bruce, of Athol; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; brothers, John Prue of Utah, Peter Prue of Kentucky and Karl Prue of Florida; a sister, Marjorie Smith of Florida; and many nephews and nieces; as well numerous friends.
Kenneth was predeceased sons, Stephen Jon Prue in 1966, Lloyd Prue in 2014, and Keith Prue in 2017, as well as a brother, Richard A. Prue Sr., also in 2014.
Calling hours will be held on July 27, 2018 from 6-8 p.m., at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
There are no formal services
Interment in Tully Cemetery, Orange, will be private.
