ATHOL- Kristine Kimberly (Krell) Abbott, 69, of Brookside Road, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 with family at her side.

Kristine was born in Milford, Connecticut on April 18, 1948, a daughter of the late Donald and Lorraine Krell.

Kristine was married to Allen F. Abbott Sr., who predeceased her on September 2, 1995.

A hard working woman, Kristine had been a waitress at several restaurants.

Kristine loved time with her grandchildren, and trips to the casino.

Survivors include her three sons, Allen F. Abbott Jr. of Ft. Meyers, FL, Keven J. Abbott of Athol, and Donald K. Abbott of Orange; four granddaughters, Cassie, Emily, Indiea, and Ashley; two great grandsons, Alex and Lucas; a brother, Kim Krell of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Kathy Wayne of Naples, FL; a “sister” Joyce Bashaw of Orange; many nephews, nieces and dear friends.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on October 28, 2017 in South Cemetery, 585 South Main Street, Orange, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
