ATHOL- Michael J. Lavoie, 53, of Pinedale Avenue, died peacefully at home early Thursday Morning, August 23, 2018 with loved ones at his side.

Born in Leominster, he was a son of the late Leon A. and Dorothy (Cunningham) Lavoie.

Michael worked for Connelly Plumbing as an apprentice for many years and had also had his own roofing business.

Michael enjoyed fishing as well as rock and roll.

Michael will be sadly missed by his family who are grateful to the GVNA Healthcarre, especially Felicia and Diana, for their loving care of Michael and the support they gave the family. Michael’s daughter Tia and Brenda's husband, Kevin Prue also made sure Michael could remain home through his illness.

Survivors include his daughters, Tia M. Lavoie of Gardner and Amanda LeClair and her husband, Aaron, of Fitchburg; a granddaughter, Naomi LeClair; siblings, Lane Lavoie and his partner, Nancy Parsons, Leon Lavoie and his wife, Monique, and James Lavoie, all of Fitchburg, Tammy Lavoie of Massachusetts, Brian Lavoie of Louisiana, Brenda Prue and her husband, Kevin, of Athol, Robyn Lavoie of Clinton, Melissa Lavoie of Colorado, Christine Lavoie and Stephanie Lavoie, both of North Carolina; and many nephews and nieces.

Michael was predeceased by his mother in 1974 and by his father in 2008.

Calling hours will be held on September 6, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

There are no formal services.
