Randy A. Boyer
ORANGE- Randy A. Boyer, 54, of East River Street, died Friday afternoon, August 17, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with family at his side.
Born in Athol on June 18, 1964, he grew up in the Athol-Orange area, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in Orange with the Class of 1982. During high school, Randy started working for the Town of Orange Wastewater Treatment Plant under the CETA program and following high school, became a full time employee and was currently the assistant operator of the plant. Randy was a hard working, dedicated and respected employee for the Town of Orange.
On August 15, 1987, Randy married his high school sweetheart Susan (Grout). They had just celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, spending time with his family meant everything to him.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his willingness to help out in any situation. He also loved going to the ocean, puttering in his yard, and cooking for his family. In his younger years, he was involved with the Orange Little League, coaching minor league.
Randy was a member of the former Athol-Orange Elks Lodge #1837, having served as Exalted Ruler from 1994-1995.
Survivors include his loving wife, Susan; daughters, Erica Becchetti and Samantha Favreau with husband, Brandon; a grandson, Jason Becchetti; his mom, Wanda Sudjak; all of Orange; his faithful companion "Elliot The Dog"; and many friends and family.
Randy was predeceased by his father, Franklin A. Boyer in 1981 and a brother, David W. Boyer in 2004.
Per Randy's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
