Steven B. Chiasson

CHICOPEE- Steven B. Chiasson, 65, of Simard Drive, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at home after being stricken ill.

Born in Athol on December 6, 1951, he was a son of Ralph and Alexsanderia (Szymanski) Chiasson and grew up in Orange and graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in Orange with the Class of 1970.

Steven was employed by Rocky’s Ace Hardware stores as a manager for many years.

A lover of music, especially the blues, Steven had played guitar at several Springfield area venues.

Steven had a great sense of humor and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include his sister, Patricia (Chiasson) Woessner and her husband, Michael, of Orange; a brother, Michael Chiasson of Northampton; and nieces, Christa Hadmack of Gardner and Shaunna Woessner of Orange.

Steven was predeceased by his father on July 29, 1976, his mother on April 14, 2008 and by his girlfriend, Janine Scott, in January of this year.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services and interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private.
