Tanya G. Riley
PHILLIPSTON- Tanya G. (Surabian) Riley, 79, of State Road, died late Saturday evening, March 10, 2018 with family at her side.
Born in Somerville on July 19, 1938, she was a daughter of the late John and Rita (Wacomb) Surabian and grew up in Somerville.
On November 10, 1960, Tanya married Robert J. Riley and they have enjoyed over 57 years together. They moved to Orange in 1967 and lived there many years.
Tanya worked for the Erving Paper Mill for a number of years and later became a personal care attendant before retiring.
Tanya was a loveable and kind woman who enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. She loved trips to Foxwoods as well as to Atlantic City.
Survivors include her loving husband, Robert J. Riley; her children, Evelyn Legrand and her husband, Kris, James Riley and his wife, Doreen, Jeanne Riley Shelton and her husband, Michael Shelton, and Robert Riley Jr.; grandchildren, Kristie Turner, Michael Turner, William Harris, Daniel Riley, Jenna Riley, and Nathan Riley; great grandchildren, Amiyah Mason, Madilynn Riley Fales, Connor Cook, Hunter Turner, and Hayden Harris; brothers, Jeremiah Surabian and Paul Surabian.
Besides her parents, Tanya was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Surabian, and by two granddaughters, Callie J. Riley and Victoria J. Riley.
There are no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church, 19 Congress Street, Orange, with Fr. Shaun O’Connor officiating.
Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon, in the spring.
