ERVING- Anthony B. Holbrook Sr., 62, of Gunn Street, died on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.
Born in Montague on April 23, 1961, he was the son of the late Ralph B. and Sally (Calcari) Holbrook and grew up in Orange, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional in 1979.
He was previously married to Laurie (Lazelle) in 1985. Later in life he enjoyed over 7 years with his companion, Nanette Roussello, whom he was living with.
Anthony had worked as an injection mold engineer for Vau-pell for 10 years before retiring. He previously had worked for Thomas & Betts in Orange and Thom McCann in Athol, as well as being a truck driver for several years.
Anthony loved working on cars as well as watching demolition derbies. He loved his cats, listening to music and watching football.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony Holbrook Jr. of Orange, Thomas Holbrook and Michael Holbrook, both of Erving; grandchildren, Angelica Holbrook and Trevor Holbrook; and sister, Karen Holbrook of Northampton.
Anthony was predeceased by his father on July 10, 1994 and by his mother on March 22, 2023.
Calling hours will be held on October 12, 2023 6- 8 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 19 Congress Street, Orange, with Fr. Shaun O’Connor officiating.
Interment in Warwick Center Cemetery will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Dakin Animal Shelter, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105.
