ORANGE- Anthony F. “Tony” Barilone, 71, of Logan Avenue, died on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Athol Hospital.
Born in Athol on February 23, 1952, he was the son of Joseph and Theresa (Fortin) Barilone and grew up in Orange.
Tony had worked for Erving Paper Mill for years before retiring.
An active member of the Athol- Orange Elks Lodge #1837before its closing, Tony was always willing to help out with events, especially chicken BBQ’s.
Survivors include his mother, Theresa Barilone, of Athol; his brothers, John Barilone of Orange, Michael Barilone and his wife, Jane, of Alabama, and Frank Barilone of Florida; a sister, Ann Benard and her husband, Gene, of Baldwinville; a grandson, Jacob, of Orange; nephews, Gregory Barilone, Aaron Barilone, Michael Benard, Zachary Benard and Brandon Barilone; nieces, Kimberly Charquette, Samantha Barilone and her companion, Ryan Perranault, and Allison Barilone; his former sister in law, Lynn Gray; cousin Dennis Keach and his wife, DeDe, of Royalston; and extended family.
Tony was predeceased by his father as well as a son, Justin Chenausky, in 2001, and a nephew, John H. Barilone in 2011.
There are no calling hours.
A private service and interment will be held in South Cemetery in Orange.
