Avis L. (Cleveland) Macher

ANDERSON, SC- Avis Lillian Macher, 98, passed away Monday May 9th 2022, at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born in Lunenburg, Massachusetts on April 24th 1924, Avis was the daughter of the late Arthur H. Cleveland and Catherine Buckman Cleveland.

She lived in Hartwell, Georgia for 40 years and grew up in Orange, Mass.  She will be buried next to her late husband Fred H Macher at South Cemetery in Orange, MA.

She is survived by her two sons, Dana F. Macher and Lowell E Macher; and grandchildren,  Cory H. Macher, Travis S. Macher, Cameron Deubner, Jennifer N. Umana, and Kevin L Macher and their spouses. Nine, great- grandchildren. She is the last of the 10 brothers and sisters in her family. She has several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews scattered from Mass, CT, TN, Fl, IN, and TX.

 A celebration of life will be held at the grave site at South Cemetery, 585 South Main Street, in Orange, MA  on June 18th at 11:00 a.m.

 Witty’s Funeral home, 158 South Main Street in Orange, MA will be handling the arrangements.
