VERNON,VT- Bernice E. (Dorsey) Noyes, 93, formerly of Orange and Greenfield, Massachusetts, died early Friday morning, March 19, 2021 at Vernon Green Nursing Home in Vernon, Vermont.
Born in Montague, MA on June 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John O. and Flora A. (Dauphinais) Dorsey and graduated from Millers Falls Elementary School and Turners Falls High School in 1946. She later graduated from Mercy Hospital Sisters of Providence School of Nursing in 1950.
Bernice was married to Leonard R. Noyes in Saint Mary’s Church in Orange on September 2, 1950, and enjoyed over 38 years of marriage until Leonard’s death on June 19, 1989.
A resident of Orange for almost 39 years, Bernice had worked at Athol Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1975. She had worked at the Millers Falls Tool Company briefly.
Bernice was a resident of Greenfield, MA for two years before moving to Vermont.
She had been a member of the Athol Orange Registered Nurses Association, as well as a member of Saint Mary’s Church in Orange. Bernice was a founding member of the Helping Hands for Agrophobics and an honorary member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield.
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Linda D. Kimball and her husband, Wayne, of Templeton and Nancy E. Moriarty and her husband, Stephen, of Greenfield; five grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Besides her parents and husband, Bernice was predeceased by a brother, Edward Dorsey, in 1991.

A graveside service will be held in South Cemetery, 585 South Main Street, Orange, on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Joe Bucci officiating.
