Beverly M. (Gerry) Levanway

ATHOL- Beverly M. Levanway, 92, of Chestnut Street, died Thursday evening, November 18, 2021 at Athol Hospital.

Born in Beverly on June 12, 1929, she was the daughter of Daniel O. and Minnie G. (Bennett) Gerry and moved to Athol at a young age where she attended school, graduating from Athol High in 1948.

Beverly was married to Maurice Gamache in 1948. She was also predeceased by her late husband, Richard J. Chase.

For many years, Beverly worked as a nurse’s aide.

She enjoyed drawing and art, singing in choir and participated in the Minstrel Shows for 18 years.

Beverly is survived by her daughters, Maureen Gamache and Denise Gamache, both of Athol; five grandsons; and three great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Beverly was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Early, and a brother, Daniel Gerry.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 29 , 2021 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol, with Fr. Mateus Souza officiating.

Interment will follow in South Cemetery, Orange.
