ATHOL- Bruce N. Hull, 75, formerly of Chase Road, died on Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2023 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.
Born in Greenfield on August 6, 1947, he was the son of the late Norman and Harriett (Bargeron) Hull and grew up in Erving.
Bruce was married to Janet (Henry) in 1978 and have been long time friends as well.
A Shipping Supervisor for the L. S. Starrett Co., Bruce worked there for 30 years.
A member and lay speaker of the Orange United Methodist Church, Bruce was very active in the church for years.
An avid reader, Bruce enjoyed the outdoors, especially trips to Maine including Bar Harbor. He was also an exceptional candlepin bowler and had appeared on TV. Bruce loved baseball and followed the Red Sox, attended stock car racing at Monadnock Speedway and loved animals. Bruce was also a very talented artist doing pen and ink drawings.
Survivors include his son, Christopher Hull of Athol; a daughter, Courtney Beal and her husband, Andrew, of Half Moon, NY; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his long time friend and former wife, Janet Taylor of Randolph.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Hull, on September 23, 2014.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
