ERVING- Catherine A. “Kitty” (Cochrane) Cordery, 96, died at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield on February 1, 2023.
Born in Boston on October 4, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Cochrane Jr. and Annie (Brady) Cochrane.
Kitty was the beloved wife of the late Leo, mother of Christine and Stephen, grandmother of Rory and Meaghan, and great grandmother to Noah, Max, Edie and Eoin. She was sister of Robert and Joseph Cochrane who both predeceased her. As well as loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Kitty was charter member of Denver Deanery Legion of Mary. Past President of Mother Cabrini Circle, Past President of St. Peter & Paul Women’s Club, involved in Girl Scouts and Brownies 1951-1963 in Denver and Erving, Den mother for Cub Scouts, Past President (2) of St. Blanche’s, and St. Francis of Assisi at Farren Care.
Kitty had worked at the Ward’s Store in Orange, Wilson’s of Greenfield and the Orange Pharmacy.
The family would like to thank the many friends and neighbors that provided Kitty with laughter, rides and many other kind deeds that helped her to stay in her much loved home until the end.
There are no calling hours or services.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
