ORANGE- Cheryl L. (DeJackome) Skiffington, 62, of North Main Street, died unexpectedly in her sleep early Tuesday morning, December 10, 2024 at home.
Born in Greenfield on September 13, 1962, she was the daughter of Lynn and Peggy (Moore) DeJackome and grew up in Orange, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional in 1981.
On September 17, 1994, Cheryl married Gary Skiffington and they have enjoyed 30 years of marriage.
Cheryl had worked for Aubuchon Hardware for 28 years before retiring and was always willing to help a customer find what they needed.
Cheryl was an avid walker as well as a lover of reading. She enjoyed the Quabbin Reservoir as well as taking trips and eating out.
Survivors include her husband Gary Skiffington of Orange; a son Brandon Skiffington of Orange; her mother Peggy DeJackome of Orange; a brother Eric DeJackome of New Hampshire; newphew Eric DeJackome Jr. of Gardner; niece Kelly Gleason of New Hampshire; grandnieces Audrey Sawyer and Emma Sawyer both of Gardner; a grandnephew Jason Gleason of Athol; aunt Kay Matthews of Pennsylvania; a niece Vicki; a cousin Karen; extended family of aunts and uncles; and many good friends.
Cheryl was predeceased by her father on May 9, 2018.
