ORANGE- Christopher W. “Chris” Priestley, 60, of Cloukey Avenue, died unexpectedly on Monday evening, February 17, 2025 after being stricken ill.
Born in Greenfield on November 22, 1964, he was the son of Donald and Judith (Taft) Priestley and grew up in Orange and attended Orange schools. He had helped care for his siblings when they were younger.
Chris had worked for the Town of Orange Highway Department for 15 years as well as working for Hume Equipment for 40 years with Jeff and Marty.
Chris was a tinker and small engine repair mechanic and could fix jus about anything. He also loved four wheel drives.
Chris is survived by his father, Donald Priestley, of Orange; his siblings, Ben Priestley Sr. of Orange, Hayley Maxwell and her husband, Doug, of Orange, Peter Bersch of Arizona, Curtis Priestley of Wendell, and Gary Bousquet of Allston; several nephews and nieces; and many, many friends including Eric Greene, Tommy Stowell and Kenny Pierce that were there for him always.
Chris was predeceased by his mother Judith and brothers, Travis Bersch and Donald Bousquet.
Calling hours will be held on March 7, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
Interment will be at a later date.
