Claire V. (Powling) Paddock

WENDELL- Claire V. (Powling) Paddock, 79, of Lockes Village Road, died peacefully at home on Thursday, September 22, 2022 following an illness, with loved ones at her side.

Born in Montague on June 10, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Audrey (Farmer) Powling.

Claire was married to James “Jim” Paddock for 61 years and enjoyed raising their family.

Employed by the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Claire had worked in maintenance before retiring.

Devoted to her family, she cherished time spent with all of them. She enjoyed going to casinos, trips to Wells, Maine and a long motorcycle ride with Jim to Montreal in the rain! Claire loved her baby Chihuahua.

Claire is survived by her loving husband, James Paddock; her children, Louanne Soos and James Paddock Jr.; grandchildren, Cody Soos and his wife, Sarah, Tanner Soos and his wife, Amanda, Jeremy Nichols Paddock and Kyle Paddock; great grandchildren, Lydia and Paisley. Claire also leaves behind her siblings, Lewis Powing and his wife, Kay, Gerald Powling and his wife, Judith, Delores Coy, Wayne Powling and his wife, Bonnie, and Brenda Grogan.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Charlene Peterson, a son in law, Frank Soos, a brother in law, Ronald Grogan Sr. and another brother in law, Victor Coy.
