David W. Flint

ORANGE- David William Flint, 63, died December 22, 2021after struggling with a long illness.

He was born August 5, 1958 to William and Elizabeth Flint. Dave attended Athol schools and graduated in 1976.

Dave leaves his children, Matthew Flint of Orange and Adriann Flint of Braintree. He also leaves two sisters, Dianna Dugas of Orange and Kathleen Senor of Auburn. Dave recently reconnected with daughter Jennifer Meattey of Athol.

Dave also leaves his former wife, Karen Flint, with whom he remained friends. He also leaves his 8 ½ year partner, Kathryn Chaisson, who together they enjoyed researching history, particularly about Athol.

Dave was extremely active in the community. He served many years in the Athol Lions Club and other organizations. He and the Lions spearheaded the River Rat  taking over for Ted Crumb.

Dave was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

He enjoyed playing Santa for the Athol Santa Fund. He also enjoyed church suppers as well as the engine show in Orange.

Dave was a car enthusiast, bringing classic cars to many area car shows.

He and his business partner, Mark Robichaud, owned and ran Flint’s Auto Sales in Athol.

He particularly loved going to Lake George in the summer, showing cars there as well. Dave also loved TV trivia and often quizzed friends and relative concerning them.

Dave lived life to the fullest! He will be truly missed by family and his many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
