ORANGE- Debra “Debbie” Elizabeth Marini: 01/22/58 – 12/14/23,65, Debra Marini left us unexpectedly due to injuries sustained during a house fire on December 14, 2023.
Debbie was predeceased by the love of her life and long-time companion and caretaker of 33 years, Richard “Rick” Cunningham, her father, William Marini, mother, June Paulin Marini, brother, William Marini, and nephews John Foley and Todd Fox, niece, Lynne Govoni, and great niece, Mikala Govoni. Debbie leaves behind her sisters, Camella Sebastiano (Chicopee), Cheryl Gryzwacz (Springfield), Donna Courcheshe (Greenfield), and brother, Richard “Rick” (Lonnie) Marini (Greenfield).
Debbie also leaves behind her eldest niece and best friend, Tina Foley Dancer (Phoenix, AZ), who served as Debra’s POA and Heathcare proxy after the death of Richard Cunningham, as well as Tina’s son, Dane Simonetti (AZ), sister Kimberly Foley Hawkins (Fletcher, NC) and her children, Blake and Emily Hawkins (NC), and niece Lori Marini (MA). In addition, Debra leaves her personal care attendant, Penny Allen, Vicki and Sarah Kennedy of Athol (landlord).
The Kennedy’s lost their home in the fire. Vicki sustained serious injuries during the fire while attempting to save Debbie. Debbie’s pet chihuahua Brindle (7), who never left her side, also succumbed in the fire and was found by Debra’s bed.
