SPRINGFIELD- Derrick Elton Nichols, 56, of Liberty Street, died March 28, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born on June 11, 1965 in Leominster, MA, he was the son of David E. Nichols and Geneva (Tanksley).
Derrick had worked in the Warehouse for Salvation Army in Springfield for a number of years.
He is survived by a brother, LeDaniel of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Davena Porter of Americus, GA and Rochelle Hobbs of Dearing, GA; his former girlfriend, Bonny Nawotny and her daughter Susan McGuiness, both of Athol, MA.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
