Diane M. (Woessner) Myntti Obituary

ATHOL- Diane M. (Woessner) Myntti, 68, of South Athol Road, died peacefully at home early Monday morning, January 19, 2026.

Born in Athol on January 3, 1958, she was the daughter of Robert and Alice (Barnes) Woessner and grew up in Athol, graduating from Athol High School in 1976. Diane later went to Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner and received a degree in Accounting.

On July 18, 1980, Diane married Dale Myntti and enjoyed over 45 years of marriage.

Diane had worked for Life Path in Greenfield and retired in 2022. She had previously been a bookkeeper for S. Bent and Brothers in Gardner, Gardner Savings Bank and Minuteman Heating and Cooling.

Diane loved time with her family, especially with the grandchildren. She also enjoyed online shopping with a affinity for QVC.

She was a member of the Athol Congregational Church and she served at and helped organize numerous functions and fairs. She taught Sunday School, and served as the Director of Sunday School for two years, and also served as treasurer of the Church for several years.

Diane was a participant in the Relay for Life walks, and most recently a member of the Jimmy Fund Walk for the last six years, where she looked forward to participating every October with the team. She used to love to visit Maine, especially Nubble Light. She enjoyed watching the Patriots and loved family football gatherings. She loved Friday Adventures with her sisters, trying new activities and restaurants. Diane also liked to play board games, especially Scrabble

Diane is survived by her husband Dale Myntti of Athol; daughter, Sarah Lavoie (Daniel) of Baldwinville; grandchildren, Ryan and Madison; brothers, Michael Woessner (Pat) of Gardner, Richard Woessner of Agawam, and Jimmy Woessner (Diane) of New Salem; sisters, Joanne Cole (Bob) Chapel Hill, TN, Elaine Heath (Kevin) and Jean Fountain (Kevin), all of Athol.

Diane was predeceased by her father in 2005, her mother in 2025, as well as a nephew, Matthew Field, and a sister in law, Jennifer Woessner.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 4-6 p.m., at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A celebration of life will be held at the Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut Street, Athol on Wednesday, January 28 , 2026 at 11 a.m.

Interment in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol, will be private.               .
