Dianne M. (McGivern) Blake

ATHOL- Dianne M. (McGivern) Blake, 55, of West Royalston Road, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 after being stricken ill.

Born in Newport, Vermont on April 1, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Harold Jr. and Nettie (Cole) McGivern and graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont, NH in 1985. She played softball while in high school.

On June 5, 2021, she married Lester Black and had just celebrated their first anniversary.

Employed by Ocean State Job Lot store for over 13 years, Dianne had previously worked at Sam’s Wholesale Club, and Rich’s.

Dianne loved tanning, watching criminal shows, collecting clocks and going camping,

Survivors include her husband, Lester Black of Athol; daughters, Paige Michaud of Athol, Allison Albert and Katie Albert, both of Lunenburg; grandchildren, Adam Albert, Case Michaud and Jenny Son, all of Lunenburg; her siblings, Phillip Bedor and his wife, Roxanne, of North Carolina, Cecile Bressette of Tennessee, Suzanne Patterson of Orange, Harold “Butch” McGivern III and his wife, Melinda, of Athol and Donna Campbell of Athol.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Kevin McGivern and Mark McGivern, a nephew, Jonathan McGivern, and brothers in law, Larry Patterson and Chuck Bressette.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
