Dolores A. (Amedio) Piragis
ATHOL, MA — Dolores A. Piragis, 73, died on Monday, March 27, 2023.
She was born on April 14,1949 in Gardner, MA and was the daughter of the late Carlo and Rose (Bosco) Amedio.
Dolores was a graduate of Athol High School, class of 1967. She attended Mount Wachusett Community College and worked for over 40 years in banking. She worked for Santander Bank in Leominster until the day she passed.
Besides her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her brother Michael Amedio in 2022. She leaves behind her daughters, Ann Piragis and Deborah (Piragis) Blanchard, her son-in-law Michael Blanchard, and grandchildren, Julia Blanchard and Edgar Blanchard who were the joy of her life. She also leaves a nephew, Mark Amedio who resides in California, close friend, Ann Powers and many loving cousins.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main St, Orange, MA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Immaculate Church,192 School Street. Athol.
Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the Athol Public Library, 568 Main St. Athol, or to a charity of choice.
