Donald E. Britt

ORANGE- Donald E. Britt, 85, of Red Brook Lane, died peacefully at home early Monday morning, October 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Donald lived in Orange many years. His love for playing guitar ,singing while playing his harmonica.. gave him and all great pleasure. After retirement he played in local Nursing homes he received much love and smiles.

Donald also served in National Guard with an Honorable discharge.

Born in Athol on December 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Earl F. and Myrtle (Foster) Britt.

Donald has been married to Rose (Jewett) for 66 years.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rose Britt of Orange; daughters, Theresa Windward and her husband, Shaun, of Sterling and Susan McLaughlin and her husband, John, of Lemonister; a son, Richard Britt and his partner, Sylvia Fortune, of Fitchburg; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Britt of Orange; and several nephews and nieces.

Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by his brothers, Norman Britt and Earl BrittJr.

Calling hours will be held on November 11, 2023 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A time for words of remembrance will start at 2:30 p.m. following calling hours in the funeral home.
