Donald H. Emmett

ORANGE- Donald H. Emmett, 96, of East River Street, died on Saturday afternoon, November 4, 2023 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center Campus in Worcester.

Born in Athol on April 8, 1927, he was the son of Harry R. and Nina (Hanes) Emmett.

Donald served in the United States Navy from December 26, 1945 and was honorably discharged on October 28, 1947.

Donald was married to Constance (Adams) for 67 years and he enjoyed his time with family.

An outdoorsman, Donald enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

Employed by the L. S. Starrett Co. in Athol for many years, Donald retired as a supervisor.

Survivors include his wife, Constance Emmett; his children, Dawn Emmett Bader and her husband, Robert, and Mark Emmett and his wife, Debra; grandchildren, James Emmett, Shawn Emmett and Aaron Emmett.

Donald’s pre-arrangements requested no calling hours or services.

Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
