Edward E. Jennings
ATHOL- Edward E. Jennings, 78, of Old Keene Road, died early Wednesday morning, February 16, 2022 at Athol Hospital.
Born in Keene, New Hampshire on September 30, 1943, he was the son of the late Earl Jennings and Dorothy (Denno) (Jennings) Ball, as well as step father, Horace Ball, and grew up in Athol, graduating from Athol High School in the class of 1961.. He later attended the Massachusetts Radio School in Boston, and earned an Associate’s Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner
An engineer at Simplex Time Recorder/ TYCO, he retired in 2004. Ed had previously worked at Athol Memorial Hospital and Erving Paper Mill.
Ed was married to Sharon (Stoico) and loved his wife and family dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working around his house and garage.
A lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, the Woodsmen Rifle and Pistol Club, as well as a yearly member of the American Radio Relay League and held the amateur radio call sign N1FZV. Ed was also a member of the National Corvette Owners Association.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Jennings; sister and brother in law, Ruth (Jennings) and Edwin White; a half sister, Julie Eaton and her husband, Don; nephews, Randy White, Chris White (Sheila),Eddie White (Robin) and Jeffrey Eaton; nieces, Jacki White Caron, Stephanie Jacobsen, Jessica Vasconcelos and Jennifer Eaton.
He is also survived by grandnephews, Josh, Nickolas and Jesse White; grandnieces, Jeni and Dani Caron, Amanda White and Aubree Vasconcelos.
Services and interment will be private.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
