GARDNER- Edward “Eddie” James Riley Montgomery, born on September 24, 1979, in Bennington, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 29, 2025, at the age of 45.
Eddie is survived by his loving partner, Kristy Lamoureux; his cherished children Declan and Allanah Montgomery; his father Robert Montgomery Jr. (Amy Jo Montgomery); his mother Pat Riley; his siblings Maegan Morgan and Robert Montgomery III (Amira Abdul-Rauf); and stepdaughter Hannah Sadler.
A graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School, Eddie went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fitchburg State University. He spent most of his career working as a food service manager and most recently as a food inspector for the city of Gardner.
Eddie loved baseball and excelled as a player while in high school. A devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, he loved cheering for his favorite team. Outgoing and adventurous, Eddie loved to skydive and cuddle with his ferrets. Known for his loyalty to others and sense of humor, he enjoyed spending time with family members and sharing jokes that brought laughter to those around him.
Eddie’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. We weren’t prepared for him to go so soon.
