Eric K. Powling

ORANGE- Eric K. Powling, 52, of Cheney Street, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 27, 2024 after being stricken ill.

Born in Greenfield on February 15, 1972, he was the son of Lewis and Kay (Matthews) Powling and grew up in Wendell and Orange. Eric attended school in Wendell and later graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield in 1990.

Eric did dog training and built computers.

Eric loved his dogs, as well as reptiles and antiques.

Survivors include his parents, Lewis “Shonk” and Kay Powling of Orange; his siblings, Laurie Smith of Malta, New York, Kathy Sharrett and her husband Henry of Racine, Wisconsin, and Wade Powling and his wife Mindy of Orange; many nephews and nieces, along with aunts, uncles and extended family.
