ATHOL- Ernest P. Buccaroni, 87, of Roosevelt Aveue, died Wednesday evening, June 12, 2024 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.
Born on November 23, 1936 in Bronx, New York, he was the son of Ernesto and Josephine (Pangaro) Buccaroni and grew up in New York, moving to Massachusetts at age 29.
Ernest earned several degrees as a Fireman Engineer from Lowell University and Worcester State.
In 1992, Ernest married Katherine (Napier) and he and his “Little Kathy” enjoyed 32 years of marriage after being together for 20 years
Ernest had worked for Whitehead Facilities and NRG Services, both of Cambridge.
A hardworking man who enjoyed his family, Ernest found time to enjoy playing darts, pool, building things, especially the addition on to his home, as well as going fishing.
Ernest his survived by his loving wife, Kathy Buccaroni of Athol; his children, Joseph Buccaroni of Fitchburg, Tara Scott of Hawaii, and Anthony Buccaroni of Athol; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two nephews and a niece.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Louis J. Buccaroni on March 2, 2007.
Calling hours on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South main Street, Orange.
