LEYDEN- Fay E. (Matthews) Sessions, 59, of North County Road, died on Sunday afternoon, January 3, 2021 at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Greenfield on February 15, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Glenn T. Matthews Sr. and Rosemary (Bezio) and graduated from Franklin County Technical School in 1979.
Fay was married to Todd Sessions.
Always a hard worker, Fay had worked for Hudson Lock as well as the fish farm, Astralis.
Fay enjoyed the company of family and friends, as well as camping, knitting and she was an avid flower gardener.
Fay is survived by her loving husband, Todd Sessions; children, Gerri M. Bennett, Justin D. Sessions and Zachary T. Sessions; her sisters, Gail Harty and her husband Tom, Elise Tandy and her husband Richard; her brothers Randall Matthews and his wife Karen, Michael Matthews and his partner Jenna Keil, and Stanley Matthews and his wife Betty; a brother in law, Dana Tandy; and a sister in law, Tracey Matthews; along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Fay was predeceased by a sister, Diana Tandy, and a brother, Glenn Matthews Jr.

Calling hours on January 16, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A family service will be held at the Colrain Community Church on January 17, 2021 at 2 p.m.
A celebration of Fay’s life will be held later this spring.
