Francine J. (Teel) Britt

ATHOL- Francine J. (Teel) Britt, 78. Died on Monday afternoon, October 21, 2024 at Alliance Healthcare at Baldwinville with family by her side.

Born in Gardner on May 19, 1946, she was the daughter of Weston and Jane B. (Neton) Teel and grew up in Athol, graduating from Athol High School in 1964. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls in her younger years.

On September 2, 1967, Francine married Douglas Britt and enjoyed over 32 years of marriage until his death on August 14, 2000.

Francine was employed by the L. S. Starrett Company in the Ordering Special Department, retiring after 32 years.

A member of the Athol Congregational Church, Francine also enjoyed shopping, bowling, Ogunquit, Maine and eating out.

Francine is survived by her brother in law Tony Superchi; a niece, Shana DeOliveira and her husband Fernando; and a nephew, Jonathan Superchi and his wife Abby; and two grandnephews, Weston Superchi and Tyler Superchi.

Francine was predeceased by her parents, husband, and sister Connie Superchi.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10- 11 a.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Candi Ashenden of the Athol Congregational Church officiating.

Interment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol, following the service.
