ORANGE- Gary Bianchi, 75, of Orange, Massachusetts passed away at home on July 31, 2024, with his son and daughter by his side.
Born on December 24, 1948, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, Gary spent most of his life on Wheeler Avenue in Orange, surrounded by family.
After graduating from Mahar Regional High School, Gary served in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service, Gary was a blue-collar worker, working for several years at an automotive parts store before working as a machinist at Erving Paper and finally L.S. Starrett Co., where he worked until his retirement.
Gary was a man of many interests, including coin collecting, metal detecting, and playing cards. Above all, Gary enjoyed visiting with family and was a dedicated caregiver. He looked after his aging parents and took care of his son, who sustained a traumatic brain injury as a child.
Gary is survived by his son Patrick, daughter Sarah and her husband Josh, and their children Isaac and Caroline. He is also survived by his sister Debra and her husband Bill and their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Elide Bianchi.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. in South Cemetery, 585 South Main Street, Orange, with Fr. Mark Glover of St. Mary’s Church of Orange officiating.

His life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
