ATHOL- George F. Robideau Jr., 85, of Athol, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 10, 1940 in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late George and Gladys (Whitmore) Robideau. He attended schools in Orange before proudly serving his country in the United States Army.

George especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often over a good game of cards- whether cribbage or pitch. He was also one of the original Rat Pack members and participated as a paddler for many years.

George will be remembered for his love of his black lab- Miss Jake, the outdoors, his dedication to his community, and the warmth, laughter and kindness he shared with everyone who knew him.
