Gloria J. (Stoddard) Meuse

ATHOL- Gloria J. (Stoddard) Meuse passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024 at the age of 87, with her family at her side at Alliance of Baldwinville, Baldwinville, MA.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Paul, of over 71 years; her children, William P. Meuse and his wife Karen, Rosemarie Mallette and her husband Paul; five grandchildren, Ryan Meuse and his wife Emily, Nathan Meuse and his wife Jacalyn, Andrew Meuse and his wife Christina, Jason Mallette and his wife Nathalia, and Nicole Cutler and her husband Matthew; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Stoddard and his wife Gloria; nephews, nieces and cousins.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Lyla Stoddard, and a brother, David Stoddard.

Gloria had worked for the L. S. Starrett Company many years doing etching before retiring.

An active member of the South Athol United Methodist Church, Gloria was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Gloria loved the ocean and lighthouses and enjoyed traveling with all the “camping crew”, bus trips, especially to the casinos with her friends (old and new), but most of all she loved to cook (too much food) for her family and was the happiest spending quality time with them.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring at the South Athol United Methodist Church, 65 Morgan Avenue, Athol, on April 1, 2024 at 3 p.m.
