Orange-Heath Cheries 45 of Orange died unexpectedly Monday December 6 2021 at Athol Memorial hospital with his family by his side.
Born in Gardner July 30 1976 he was the son of Sadie Wilcox and Lawrence Cheries and grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools.
As a carpenter Heath worked for Habitech Construction Company for many years and also traveled the country remodeling hotels for several years. Heath was known as a very hard worker and earned the nickname “ Beef”. Heath was currently working at MBW in Orange and looking forward to better days. Heath enjoyed fixing and building things and could be found fixing stuff or helping friends . Heath was always quick to help a friend in need and spent much of his free time doing things for other people, helping people move or fixing their car or repairing their homes.
Heath is survived by his sons Tyler Plum of Orange and Brody Plum also known as Kyle Evans of Athol; his grand children Owen Gibeau and Emmit Gibeau Plum of Turners Falls; his mother Sadie Lesneski of Alabama; his brother Russell Richard of Orange; his brother Randy Richard of Alabama; his brother Shane Cheries of Alabama; his brother Corey Cheries and his girlfriend Melanie Sumner of Athol ; his brother Aaron Cheries and his girlfriend Dennis Moore of Alabama; his nephew Cody Cheries of Athol; his nephew Christoper Cheries of Athol; his niece Cortney Cheries of Gardner; his nephew Rusty Richard of Gardner; and many other nieces and nephews and cousins.
Heath is predeceased by the mother of his children Diane Plum and his brother Kyle Amadon and his father Lawrence Cheries.
There will be no calling hours.
A celebration of life is planned for a later date.
