Irma A. "Mandy Star" (Hall) Robinson Obituary

GARDNER- Irma A. “Mandy Star” (Hall) Robinson, 75, of Graham Street, died peacefully on early Monday morning, February 28, 2022 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.

Born in Barton, Vermont, she was the daughter of Earl M. and Geraldine I. (Anair) Ashe, and Clarence Hall and moved to Massachusetts at a young age.

Music was Irma’s passion, and performed for many years as “Mandy Star” and performed with the family band, “Country Night Stalkers”. In 1989, she traveled to Nashville where she recorded a couple records that got radio air time.

In 1975, Irma married Frank E. Robinson Jr. and enjoyed 13 years before his death in 1988.

Besides her love of music, Irma was a skilled seamstress who did it all by hand! She was also known for her fabulous cooking and hosting Sunday dinners.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Sargent and Norman Sargent Jr., both of Orange; grandchildren, Kalee Sargent of Ayer, Ryan Leclerc and Lori Leclerc, both of Leominster, Jake McCartney, Cole Sargent, Dakota Sargent and Cody Sargent, all of Fitchburg; great grandchildren, Aaliyah Link of Clinton, Manuel Aquino of the Philippines, and Garrett Sargent of Fitchburg.  She also leaves a brother, Vergial Allen of Athol; a sister, Tina (Ashe) Semler of Athol; several nephews and nieces; and her long time companion, Robert Hatfield of Gardner.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
