James P. Mallette Obituary

ATHOL- Our family is sad to announce that our loving father, brother and uncle, James P. Mallette, 60, of South Main Street, died suddenly at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester on Saturday, August 24, 2024 after being stricken ill. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Born in Athol on May 2, 1964, he was the son of the late Alvin H. and Rita M. (Landry) Mallette and grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools.

James was employed at T. S. Mann Lumber, a job he absolutely enjoyed.

An outdoorsman, James loved fishing, kayaking, car rides and Sunday dinners with family.

James is survived by three sons, Joshua, Dustin and Branden Mallette; three sisters, Susan Mason and her husband, Michael, Sharon Chauvette and her husband, Lee, and Theresa Mann and her husband, Tom; five brothers, Ronald Mallette and his wife, Rosalie, Richard Mallette and his wife, Kathy, Raymond Mallette, Dennis Mallette and his wife Rosemary, and David Mallette; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Roger Mallette.

There are no calling hours

Funeral services and interment will be private.
