ORANGE- Janice Mae (Denno) Nicoliello peacefully passed away on December 1st 2023, following a courageous battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer.
She was born March 23, 1943 to Howard and Jean (Estabrooks) Denno. She was a beloved wife to Leon Nicoliello for 60 years and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always there when we needed her.
Janice worked more than 20 years for the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She was dedicated to life-long learning and held a Bachelor’s of Science in Anthropology and Master’s in Education.
After retiring from UMass she and Leon moved to North Orange in 1999. She had many friends and extended family and was a well loved and respected member of the Community Church of North Orange and Tully. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
Janice is survived by her loving husband Leon Nicoliello, brother Paul Denno of Saco Maine, three children, Myra Lyne and husband John of Norwell MA, Joy Beaudet and husband Robert of Belchertown MA, and Mario Nicoliello and wife Julie of Ware MA. Grandchildren, Sean, Aidan, Haley, Miranda, Jonathan, Sarah, and James, and great grandson Thomas.
There will be no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m., on January 20, 2024 at the Community Church of North Orange and Tully, 46 Main Street, Orange.
